May 01, 1967After midnight the wedding party left for Las Vegas in 2 jets and at 3.30 a.m. Elvis and Priscilla obtained their marriage license at the Clark County Courthouse. The ceremony was held at 11.45 a.m. at the Aladdin Hotel, followed by a press conference in the Aladdin Room. Afterward there was a reception with all members of the entourage except for Red West, who was so furious about his exclusion from the ceremony that he didn’t have contact with Elvis for the next 2 years.

The Assembly of God is known to be the beginnings of the Pentecostal church.
